In the words of our good friends Pendulum,
"F**k it. I lied. What you gonna do about it?"
ONE LAST HENCEFORTH BEFORE CANADA BEGINS!
This one's important. Really.
A (crappy) video I made of all my favourite parts of the Naruto Abridged Comedy Spoof Series Show. Made by littlekuriboh, the same guy who made Yu Gi Oh Abridged, but this one is a fan based parody of a fan based parody.
So this is either a) a taste of the classic humour you will find in the few episodes he has made
or b) a flashback to the hilarity if you've already seen it.
Henceforth, no more. I mean it this time. <3

ANIME #5
Yeah, I realised I haven't ever written a blog about FMA, and everyone needs to watch this at one point in their lives.
Fullmetal Alchemist - possibly one of the best shows about alchemy. Possibly one of the only shows about alchemy. Possibly both.
Wikipedia says this about Fullmetal Alchemist...
Born in the village of Resembool from the country of Amestris (アメストリス,), two brothers named Edward and Alphonse Elric lived with their mother. Their father, Hohenheim, left home for unknown reasons and years later, their mother, Trisha Elric, died of a terminal illness leaving the Elric brothers alone. After their mother's death, Edward became determined to bring her back through the use of alchemy, an advanced science in which objects can be created from raw materials. They researched Human Transmutation, a forbidden art in which one attempts to create or modify a human being. However, this attempt failed, ultimately resulting in the loss of Edward's left leg and Alphonse's entire body. In a desperate effort to save his brother, Edward sacrificed his right arm to affix Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor.
Not your usual storyline, but then again it never usually is.
FMA is good because it's semi-believable. (Note the 'semi' - most animes are totally unbelievable.) Instead of magic and sorcery, this alternate reality-type world is a world of alchemy, where special power can be found through the laws of science... semi-believable, totally awesome.
Although it's slightly different, it's still got that classic anime taste of twenty thousand sub plots that are hard to keep up with. Luckily, they do a lot of flashbacks, so there's no need to worry about it.
So get watching this one after you've watched the other ones I've already recommended. Ask for an episode or two if you'd like to try it out, I'm willing to share.
Henceforth; wish chemistry was as cool as alchemy. -_-
Aw crap.
I just finished watching Code Geass second season. And there isn't a third.
... what do I do with all my TIME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Henceforth, I'll watch Fullmetal Alchemist. From the start.
And write a blog about that too...

Effort

Yeah, it's an upset Yugi. From the TV show/game. Deep and meaningful, perhaps?
..... nah.
I just felt like drawing anime and he looked sad so I made him emo instead of starting over. :D
You don't have to like it, I'm not particularly sure I do but it's an effort nonetheless.
Almost as much effort as playing tennis for five hours in the rain today. That was an enjoyable experience.
Henceforth, give me some inspiration other than something that somebody else has already created. D:
edit: I did as Matt said and set up a deviant art page. I use the site all the time but just never bothered to actually upload anything.

ANIME #4
In this anime recommendation blog I present (... again)
YU GI OH - The Abridged Series
A complete waste of time and piss-take on the original Yu Gi Oh series... very funny, and time consuming, but worth it. It's a classic parody - making fun of everything and anything in the show. Created and voiced by a guy by the name of LittleKuriboh, with an epic sense of British humour. :D
It's free to download from iTunes and you can watch it on Youtube anyway, so here's a few of my favourite episodes/parts from the show, it's hard to narrow down cause I like a lot of them... don't feel like you have to watch them all. :D
I posted one a long time ago, one of my favourite ones called 'Brooklyn Rage' but then I figure you wouldn't understand if you didn't know the actual joke, so go watch the series, bitchez
:D :D :D

J-Pop/K-Rock
Just promoting a bit of good old Jap/Korean music right here.
Some of my favourite songs from either anime theme songs and a bit of Seo Taiji (Korean rock god) because I feel like it and nobody knows what I'm talking about when I mention it
So here's a taste of J-Pop
AND OF COURSE ...
CCS!
(it's not actually a great song but it's kinda catchy... plus it's CARDCAPTORS!!!)
and now for some Seo Taiji
He's pretty awesome. :D
Well there wasn't really much point to this post, so there's not really a henceforth...
Unless, henceforth, J/K-rock is cooler than ours?
I think we can all agree on that.

ANIME #3
And in our third installment of the anime blogs, let me introduce...
INUYASHA!

I love this anime. Very heartwarming yet full of evil stuff and comic relief characters. All the best things in life are in InuYasha.
The plot of the story is that Kagome, a school girl in modern day Japan, falls down a well and goes back in time to about 500 years ago when InuYasha and his strange friends existed. (Suspend your disbelief for the sake of the story...) Kagome can travel back and forth between the two worlds, living her normal life in her world and helping InuYasha search for a magical stone in his world.
Twist? Kagome is an incarnation of an evil witch from Inu's time who trapped the magical stone in different places, making it nearly impossible to get, and she also was the one to trap Inu to the tree. Funnily enough, it was her reincarnation who set him free and then fell in love with him.
Life's funny like that. :D

The word 'InuYasha' in Japanese means dog-demon, and that's pretty much what Inu is, but he's only a part demon. So for the most part, he's normal, minus the ears. He's an angry sort of guy but he's sweet deep down.
Of course, being part demon, he sometimes looks like this...

and other looks like this.

personally, I like him both ways. Demon is much more sexy, though.
So, for someone as anti-sentimental as I, you'd think this would have to be a damn good show to make me like it. It's all gooey and mushy and silly. Gehhhh. Why do I watch it?
I don't know. But Henceforth, you should watch it too.

ANIME #2
Well as the cats would say, 'Ohai'. This is the next update for anime, and I present to you...
CODE GEASS: LELOUCH OF THE REBELLION
Contain your excitement, your fangirly screams will have to wait. Now, if you are not fortunate enough to have discovered this spectacular series, you obviously have no life. Or too much of a life. Either way, you need to get laid right now, and then watch this anime series.
Now, it's incredibly difficult to explain so here is Wikipedia's definition of Code Geass.
The series is set after Japan's conquest by the Holy Britannian Empire on August 10, 2010, a.t.b. with their powerful new robot weapons, the Knightmare Frames stripping Japan and its citizens of all rights and freedoms and renaming the country Area 11. The titular Lelouch is a Britannian prince who was disowned by his father, Emperor Charles Vi Britannia, after his mother was murdered, and has vowed to kill his father, the Emperor, and destroy Britannia. He gains an ability through the mysterious power of the Geass, becoming the leader of the resistance movement to fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister Nunnally can live happily.
I love Wikipedia!
They don't quite reach the root of awesome that the show is, but they're close.
Okay so here's the thing: Lelouch is a kid who gets caught up in a rebel attack and because he freed this magical girl from a giant bomb or something similar, he took her powers to make anyone do anything he wanted.
This is Lelouch. Grumpy looking kid, isnt he?
So what does he do? He becomes a legend and the hero of the rebels, dubbing himself 'Zero'. Pretty cool superhero name... Something something something, his childhood friend is working for the Britannians and Lelouch is semi-Japanese or something, and something else happens and Lelouch is a little bit of a manwhore at school and something then something and lots of machinery and death and something and SUPERHEROES !!!
Look at that first class man-whoring right there.
That's about all, you'll have to watch to understand the rest.
Good luck.
MORE PICTURES NAOOWWWW!
Doesn't it just make you happier looking at it?
Henceforth you are now in love with Lelouch, because everyone else in the animated world is so why aren't we?

Yu Gi Oh Abridged
Yep yep, this is an awesome parody of an awesome (if somewhat confuddling) show. Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged ! You can search for them on iTunes, they're downloadable as podcasts and completely free because the guy who made them is awesome.
This is one of a few songs that he's made - pretty snazzy. There's entire seasons of it as well, the episodes are all in the iTunes store.
Henceforth, go download.

ANIME #1
Yeah well Conor's blog about anime made me think of a few of my favourite anime which are far superior to his little mage stories...
I'll add more from time to time. Just to keep you on your toes.
Okay, so, anime #1 contains two of my favourite anime series of all time. The first may or may not be familiar as it was on early morning television for about three years when I was eight or nine...
I present to you, Cardcaptor Sakura.

Cardcaptor Sakura - the story of a young girl named Sakura Kinomoto who accidentally released a great number of magical cards containing different forms of magic that wreck havoc around her little town. As a result, the guardian beast of the seal, Keroberos, has turned into something that resembles a stuffed toy animal. So she has to collect all of the cards again, and become the master of the cards or some crap... Li Shaoran, the descendant of the guy who made the cards, Clow Reed, tries to collect them all before she does because for most of the story he's a little bitch. But I love him <3

so yep, that's the best show evar. Get onto it, or if I'm nice I'll send you some eps.
Also the Japanese version is better. Reasons? Well, the Americans made it all very appropriate, aka boring. In the original Japanese, Sakura's older brother Toya and his 'best friend' Yukito, are pretty damn gay. And there was something about Sakura's dad being Sakura's mum's teacher. God forbid that a fictional show about magic might have some paedophilia...
Moving on.
The other show I've just found out about is called Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It's kind of like a follow on show to Cardcaptors, but it's much more 'grown up'. :) Oh, and Li Shaoran gets fricken hot, even if his face is a bit pointy.
It's pretty much a mashup of many different anime characters from the makers of Cardcaptors, and all the other shows they've made. It's pretty good, so far. All about parallel universes and stuff.
Pics? Why of course.

Ah, Li Shaoran... if only you were real.
Ignore that bit.
Henceforth, you shall go watch all billion and one episodes of both of these. You'll be a better person for it.
I'm going to go watch them again now. Bai. Or as the Japanese say, Sayonara. (I think.)
