The Paint Project - final product

This is the final picture I selected from the many that I took - I think this one is cute because they all seem to be kinda protecting/hugging Sammie. I love the way it looks and again I'd really like to thank the guys who helped out getting all messy and stuff, it seriously made my day/week/year.
^_^
Henceforth: PHOTOGRAPHY + PAINT = GOODTIMES

Yay more pictures for your viewing pleasure ! :D
This week it's realistic Super Mario, an artwork piece of Kakashi (my favourite Naruto character) and an epic picture of Link. Couldn't choose which one so I'm putting up all three.
And found a way to embed with the nifty thingo on the website. Coooooool says I.
Enjoy other people's talent !

Religion Sucks

Usually I'm pretty calm about the whole Catholic thing... I do the church thing but I'm not really devoted to it. But frick almighty, if the Catholic Education Council doesn't keep screwing around with my course I'm going to force feed them snails and make them watch live action Disney movies! (and nobody wants that.)

I'll go back to the start.

Mr. Middleton: Hey Darcie, do 2A religion in year 12, because you get an extra 15 marks in your exam in year 12 if you do 3A.
Darcie: Wow, Mr. Middleton, that's a great idea. Thanks a bunch.

Six months later...

Mr. Middleton: Sorry kiddies, there akshully isn't a 3A course you can do. We'll have a talk about this later.

.... OHMYGODSTOPSCREWINGWITHMYBRAIN!

He explained it in detail to our class today what was going on. He can't be blamed at all really, it's entirely the Catholic Education Council's fault. What's going on is that the CEC made the course based on four modules - A, B, C and D. Easy enough. 1A/1B in year 11 is modules A and B at a stage one level, according to the Curriculum Council, and 2A/2B in year 11 is modules C and D at a stage two level. Still with me?
Now it becomes a sort of Catholic Education Council vs the Curriculum. I'm putting all money on the Curriculum...
Curriculum has figured that a 3A/3B course consists of the same modules C and D but at a stage 3 level. Well that's sensible enough. Extra fifteen marks, big whoop and all. HOWEVER, there is a problem. The CEC says that kids can only graduate if they do all four modules over two years, which means 1A and 2A courses.
So, in order to graduate, this means I'd have to drop down to 1A or 1C in year 12, but in the eyes of the Curriculum, that means that I dropped back and they will take marks off.
GOD ALMIGHTY.
We all kinda panicked about this for a while because nobody had told us anything, but now we know. We kinda chose to do 2A (or at least I did) for the extra marks in the exam next year. Very handy marks. But they messed with my brain as they always seem to do and now I'm officially, royally screwed.
Thank god Mr. Middleton has an answer, but it's not exactly a solution. He said we do the 1A course during our study period this year as well as doing 2A with the year twelves, and then we do the 2A stage 3 course next year.
Extra marks.... yay.
Henceforth: There was much rejoicing.
Screw Religion and Life. I could be doing frigging history.

The Paint Project

It was a joyous day the day I decided to cover my friends in paint. I'm not saying it floats my boat but it was very very fun.
It wasn't just for the lols, I had a valid reason. My photography project was about racial harmony, so I thought that covering a few of my friends in paint was a good way to portray that.

They all sort of have different ethnic backgrounds so it worked :)

I'd like to thank the victims who joined in with the project, you guys made my day. And Mr. Mahony is going to pass me now. Yay :D

What an amazing backdrop.

Thanks again!
Though I'm not so sure about you getting paint on my cats...
But anyway.
Henceforth, photography rules. Best excuse for getting messy.

Youtube Music Talent

Going through my Youtube faves when I came across some of the usual brilliant talent that you find on youtube.
Some of it is impressive, some is interesting and some is just plain hilarious. Hah!
So watch and enjoy. Personally I love violins, should save and buy one of those too. :D

especially love that saxaphone guy... he's a genius! not to mention he also loves mayday parade. :D

so enjoy and be inspired.
Henceforth Imma save up and learn another instrument... I don't really think ocarina counts...

Prosh

Every year, a whole bunch of UWA kids go out and sell parody newspapers for charity. It's called PROSH, it's fucking hilarious.
Written for comedic purposes only and being completely and totally neglectful of respect and lacking dignity, it is probably the funniest thing I've read all year. With headlines like 'Alien vs Federer' and claiming that Tony Abbot is the only thing between a teenager with alco-pops and your daughter's unbroken hymen, I don't know why they don't print things like this more often.
Because being so abusive is physically draining, probably.

Example 1: The herpes simplex
Do you have herpes? Yes.
You fucking bastard! Shut your mouth, whore.

Example 2: Perthopoly
Joondalup Train Station. You arrive at ECU, go directly to FAIL, do not pass your classes, do not get a future. Lose a turn.

Example 3: Your future with master Gang Gong
Monkey: don't mean to be negative but you are responsible for AIDS, polio and ebola. Thanks for ruining humanity. Nah mate, you're alright, champ. Get in there, cob.
Tiger: This is the year to properly fuck up your life. Really good and proper. You are a lying, embarrassing, unfaithful cheater. But fuck almighty, are you good at golf.
Rooster: What a cock.

There's more but I have a newspaper to read... again.
If you can't find one from this year hang out for next year. Or make a donation anyway, they do some good stuff. I can't be bothered putting in a link. Or can I? :)

Henceforth, UWA students are fricken hilarious.
Walruses are upside down elephants.

Pirates Night

Arrrrrrr there was a celebration of Pirates of the Caribbean at my residence last night and that meant only one thing...
THE PIRATE HAT !!

It's a pirate hat and it's epic.

I don't really feel I have to say anything else.

Effort

Yeah, it's an upset Yugi. From the TV show/game. Deep and meaningful, perhaps?
..... nah.
I just felt like drawing anime and he looked sad so I made him emo instead of starting over. :D
You don't have to like it, I'm not particularly sure I do but it's an effort nonetheless.
Almost as much effort as playing tennis for five hours in the rain today. That was an enjoyable experience.
Henceforth, give me some inspiration other than something that somebody else has already created. D:

edit: I did as Matt said and set up a deviant art page. I use the site all the time but just never bothered to actually upload anything.

Picture of the week 1

So hopefully this'll become an ongoing thing... I browse through heaps of art and anime and stuff throughout the week (love deviantart...) and I'll upload my favourite picture from the past week.
I'll be consistent, I promise. :D

and this week it's something I couldn't go past.

It's a llama that's been attacked by a vampire fox.

Vampeo by Culpeo_Fox

I can't help myself. I love things that make no sense. :)

Henceforth, next week's image might be a little less strange (but I make no promises)

ANIME #4

In this anime recommendation blog I present (... again)
YU GI OH - The Abridged Series

A complete waste of time and piss-take on the original Yu Gi Oh series... very funny, and time consuming, but worth it. It's a classic parody - making fun of everything and anything in the show. Created and voiced by a guy by the name of LittleKuriboh, with an epic sense of British humour. :D

It's free to download from iTunes and you can watch it on Youtube anyway, so here's a few of my favourite episodes/parts from the show, it's hard to narrow down cause I like a lot of them... don't feel like you have to watch them all. :D

I posted one a long time ago, one of my favourite ones called 'Brooklyn Rage' but then I figure you wouldn't understand if you didn't know the actual joke, so go watch the series, bitchez

:D :D :D

New Amp

Haven't got it yet but I've bought it.
Second hand, of course. I'm not that rich...
75w 15'' Randall bass amp.
worth $600, got it for $150.
guy clearly has no idea about moneys and I'm willing to take advantage of that.
And because I'm really cheap I spent this morning helping mulch the garden to take a further $50 off the price.
And then I cleaned all the cupboards in the living room for an extra $50.
So technically, I only spent $50 on a $600 amp.
Henceforth, I have a new amp.
Almost.
Soon, darling...

What should I name this one? Call it Randall?

Arrrgh.

Life is sucking.
I mean, it's great. I slept for fourteen hours last night.
But God, stop fuckin' around. You're making my life a misery.
The ONLY thing I was actually going to leave my house to go to this year - The Supanova Pop-culture expo - is on the very day that I'm leaving for Canada.

...Feckers......

I'm so sad. I mean, I am really excited for my holiday, but seriously, Supanova is the only good place to buy anime series and manga...
and posters....
and shirts...
and meet people from Dragon Ball Z... (this year I think it's the guy from Full Metal Alchemist....)

:( :( i really want to go !!

i guess there's always next year...

maybe they'll get someone from Cardcaptors or Code Geass?

Henceforth, God is a little bitch who just wants to make me cry.

AFL

It's an incredibly frustrating game. Happy with how the Saints played last night against Collingwood (died a little on the inside when Riewoldt pulled a muscle...) and am currently watching WCE play North Melbourne.
Notes from the two matches:
- West Coast are getting better at not being so shit.
- Riewoldt and Le Cras are still the best things to ever happen to football.
- Collingwood fans are despicable, not to mention they are all bogans.

Henceforth, hope the Eagles can stay in the lead. They're pretty hopeless anyway but I have faith...
Lovin' the Saints <3

edit: I take back what I said about the Eagles. They are still shit. I'm all out of faith, just like Natalie Imbruglia. Sigh. :(

I'm so changing religions...

And Wong, I think this will make your life much more fulfilling as well...

The Jedi Church

Based in New Zealand, of course.
There are more Jedi's in NZ than there are Jehovah's Witnesses...
That's a GOOD THING!!!!

Henceforth, I'm a Jedi. You can be a Jedi too! :D

J-Pop/K-Rock

Just promoting a bit of good old Jap/Korean music right here.
Some of my favourite songs from either anime theme songs and a bit of Seo Taiji (Korean rock god) because I feel like it and nobody knows what I'm talking about when I mention it
So here's a taste of J-Pop

AND OF COURSE ...
CCS!
(it's not actually a great song but it's kinda catchy... plus it's CARDCAPTORS!!!)

and now for some Seo Taiji
He's pretty awesome. :D

Well there wasn't really much point to this post, so there's not really a henceforth...
Unless, henceforth, J/K-rock is cooler than ours?
I think we can all agree on that.

How amusing

This makes me think that Eddy has taken over the captcha department at Megaupload.
heh heh heh
i would have been more convinced if it said jew2.

Ouch.

I don't want to be a wuss, but needles hurt. I don't have as much muscles as the rest of my family so I actually felt the needle.
:(
I'm such a sook. But I don't like needles.
Times like these I'm really grateful that I'm totally healthy, and the only reason I have needles is to make sure it stays that way.
Henceforth, needles are little bitches.

Defy Gravity!

Holy hell, this is complex. but surprisingly fun to read.
It's a comparison of gravity levels on different planets and satellites in our solar system. Sorry if you're not quite as fascinated by outer space as I am. :D
Henceforth, you can't defy gravity. Ever. You can try, but you will fail... mwahaha.

Da Bass

Is incredibly epic and very fun to play and I wouldn't give it up for anything.
However, from never ending hours of band practice I have begun to develop callouses on my fingers. I'd just like to mention this so everyone knows how much I have sacrificed for the sake of the band, including the lovely smooth skin on my fingertips.
That said, perhaps it is a good thing. It might in the future prevent anyone from wanting to hold my hand. It's a guard against sentimentality!!
Henceforth, I'm torn on the subject. It's a good and a bad thing, but we shall persevere, for the sake of music.

Code Geass...

Don't you hate it when they leave you on a cliffhanger.

Becoming Feminimenim...

....I can't say feminine properly. I don't know why.
Anyway. Point of this post being, when is it appropriate to become totally feminized? I'm not quite sure whether I should be ashamed or proud of the fact that I know some blokes who are more girly than me...
I was thinking about this as I epic failed at painting my nails this afternoon. (Painting them black, of course...)
A lot of girls I know try to force themselves to be more girly. I mean, I can't wear heels. I could go to a party wearing heels and everyone would think I was drunk, when it's actually just an overdose of femaleness.
Can't brush my hair, I don't like it. Don't like makeup. It is far too bothersome and sparkly.
I don't get the whole social pressure to be girly. My friends can accept me for not wanting to wear a dress, so why can't everyone else?
Not to mention the fact girls need to relax a little. I mean, we take care of pretty much everything on this planet - we can afford to lay back and not care about mascara every now and then.
So that's my rant for this afternoon. Henceforth, I'm pretty sure if a lot of other girls I know started acting more like boys, everyone would get along much more better.
Don't as why, it's just a theory. It's not like they're all going to go out and buy converse shoes, start listening to GOOD MUSIC, read comic books and wear band shirts.

ANIME #3

And in our third installment of the anime blogs, let me introduce...
INUYASHA!

I love this anime. Very heartwarming yet full of evil stuff and comic relief characters. All the best things in life are in InuYasha.
The plot of the story is that Kagome, a school girl in modern day Japan, falls down a well and goes back in time to about 500 years ago when InuYasha and his strange friends existed. (Suspend your disbelief for the sake of the story...) Kagome can travel back and forth between the two worlds, living her normal life in her world and helping InuYasha search for a magical stone in his world.
Twist? Kagome is an incarnation of an evil witch from Inu's time who trapped the magical stone in different places, making it nearly impossible to get, and she also was the one to trap Inu to the tree. Funnily enough, it was her reincarnation who set him free and then fell in love with him.
Life's funny like that. :D

The word 'InuYasha' in Japanese means dog-demon, and that's pretty much what Inu is, but he's only a part demon. So for the most part, he's normal, minus the ears. He's an angry sort of guy but he's sweet deep down.
Of course, being part demon, he sometimes looks like this...

and other looks like this.

personally, I like him both ways. Demon is much more sexy, though.
So, for someone as anti-sentimental as I, you'd think this would have to be a damn good show to make me like it. It's all gooey and mushy and silly. Gehhhh. Why do I watch it?
I don't know. But Henceforth, you should watch it too.

Zelda 2010

The Legend of Zelda has got to be one of my favourite video games of all time. Undoubtedly.
After hearing rumors of a new game being released this year, myself and my trusty companion Google went investigating and discovered a few tasty tidbits to do with the 2010 Zelda game.
The producers of past Zelda games hinted at developing a new (yet to have an official title) game in 2008, and announced in January this year that it was expected to be released sometime this year, and later on in February they confirmed it was going to be released at the E3 conference in LA in June.
So it's not just a myth, or a practical joke (like IGN's Zelda movie in 2008...) and is actually going to happen. ^_^ can barely contain my fangirly excitement.
The picture here is the only officially released art from the new game. Don't know who the new character is but hot diggity, Link is looking as sexy as ever. :D
However, a little bit of unwelcome news comes with all the other delicious news.
One of the producers said at an interview that "So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you’re exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We’re looking at altering that traditional flow."
NOOOOOOOOOOO
Stop breaking tradition, you bastards!
Zelda has been the same since the 80s and has always been epic. I wasn't actually alive but I just know it must have been great...
Still, I am excited. Perhaps, if they are as fantastic as I think they are, they can still make a good game, still as baffling and mind-crushing even if it is not quite the same. Essentially, it has always been Link vs Ganondorf with a bit of Princess Zelda on the side. Hopefully they'll keep it all that way, and still add different elements.
Henceforth, counting down the minutes. I do not want to be disappointed, and neither does the world.
Come on, Nintendo. Show us what you got.

Oh, the shame...

I cannot express how ashamed I am.
I poked my tongue out at my cat.
And then my cat licked my tongue.

.... ew.
Essentially, I just french kissed my cat.
Life will never be the same again.
Plus, she's a girl, so it's lesbeeshan-cat-kissing.
God. Poor cat...

Happy Easter!

Happy Jesus Zombie Day everyone! hope you all have a good day and go to church and pray and then stuff your faces full of chocolate... I have completed everything on the list already, so should you, your life will be better for it. Warm, fuzzy and bloated. :D
To quote dear old Kathy, "JESUS HAS RISEN ! PRAISE THE LORD !"
Wise words, Kathy, wise words. She is truly an inspiration.
Henceforth, HAPPY EASTER! :D Hope you get everything you want and stay safe and chocolatey. <3

Number Six!

Yep, the latest addition to the piercing family.
Let me introduce you to number three, right side. (top one...)
Sigh. ^_^ Isn't he beautiful?
I have the other one for when I feel like getting more holes punched through my ear...
Henceforth, I'm so fricken radical. Don't you wish you were as radical as me? :D

Chemists...

Are lame.
Went to Joondalup last night and spontaneously decided I was going to get another ear piercing.
Unfortunately, after spending half an hour going through the motions at the piercing place, they told me they were all booked out. And there was only one person at HHWH so she couldn't leave the front desk. And the chemist didn't do them for under 16s. And the other one didn't do them at all.
Sigh. All I ask for, one little hole in my ear, and what do I get? Bitter disappointment...
Henceforth, I'm further lowering my expectations.
