Yeah well Conor's blog about anime made me think of a few of my favourite anime which are far superior to his little mage stories...
I'll add more from time to time. Just to keep you on your toes.
Okay, so, anime #1 contains two of my favourite anime series of all time. The first may or may not be familiar as it was on early morning television for about three years when I was eight or nine...
I present to you, Cardcaptor Sakura.
Cardcaptor Sakura - the story of a young girl named Sakura Kinomoto who accidentally released a great number of magical cards containing different forms of magic that wreck havoc around her little town. As a result, the guardian beast of the seal, Keroberos, has turned into something that resembles a stuffed toy animal. So she has to collect all of the cards again, and become the master of the cards or some crap... Li Shaoran, the descendant of the guy who made the cards, Clow Reed, tries to collect them all before she does because for most of the story he's a little bitch. But I love him <3
so yep, that's the best show evar. Get onto it, or if I'm nice I'll send you some eps.
Also the Japanese version is better. Reasons? Well, the Americans made it all very appropriate, aka boring. In the original Japanese, Sakura's older brother Toya and his 'best friend' Yukito, are pretty damn gay. And there was something about Sakura's dad being Sakura's mum's teacher. God forbid that a fictional show about magic might have some paedophilia...
Moving on.
The other show I've just found out about is called Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It's kind of like a follow on show to Cardcaptors, but it's much more 'grown up'. :) Oh, and Li Shaoran gets fricken hot, even if his face is a bit pointy.
It's pretty much a mashup of many different anime characters from the makers of Cardcaptors, and all the other shows they've made. It's pretty good, so far. All about parallel universes and stuff.
Pics? Why of course.
Ah, Li Shaoran... if only you were real.
Ignore that bit.
Henceforth, you shall go watch all billion and one episodes of both of these. You'll be a better person for it.
I'm going to go watch them again now. Bai. Or as the Japanese say, Sayonara. (I think.)

How Dare You Call My Anime Insignificant!!! I shall...maturely explain my anime likings. after i express my own thoughts about your anime...
ReplyDeleteI used to watch cardcaptor too on cheese tv (pretty sure it was cheese tv and not toasted tv) and it was cool. If i went and bought it now i would feel like a little kid but i see it at jb hifi and think..."i quite liked that, but its too kidish". I think i might reconsider as the follow up kind of series looks really cool, well the type of anime. I always judge by graphics and stuff, i cant watch shitty looking and 2D anime i dont think.
My own anime shows i watched is:
Yu-Gi-Oh
Pokemon (of course!!!)
Dragonball Z
Avatar:the last airbender
(thanks to liss/geoff) Elfen Lied
Blassreiter (which isnt awesome until you get sucked in to the characters)
Claymore (newest obsession which i havent even seen but have ordered collectors edition..where the hell is it!?!?!)
I think thats it. when i look at my list, its not much, it feels like i have more, but i dont...id like to watch cardcaptors now. but it might be a bit bothorsome for you to send episodes. if you have them on a USB or something is that more likely? I/You could transfer them onto my USB at School. maybe, we'll talk about it at school! YAY!
haha yeah that'd be alright.
ReplyDeletewell my anime list is as follows:
Cardcaptors
Tsubasa Chronicles
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Code Geass R2
Digimon <3
InuYasha
Clannad
Death Note
And I really want to watch Fullmetal Alchemist but I never got around to it. And it's hard to download because it's still licensed...
I have the first five on my computer, we could definitely do some trades... :D
I'm working on downloading the rest. Gotta find a decent illegal downloader because I'm a little internet gremlin.
We shall discuss this.
And sorry for dissing your shows...
haha, if you have iTunes, go and download Yu-Gi-Oh the abridged series. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen, because I used to watch YGO too. :) you'll lurve it
